Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Specialist - Culinary Operations to join our team at OM Ships. This role is responsible for assisting the Chief Cook with managing, supporting and equipping the Catering Team Members of the Catering Department, and taking over the responsibilities of the Chief Cook when needed.

• Assist the Chief Cook in preparing regular, nutritious meals every day, and supervise all assisting staff with the preparation and storage of food.
• Evaluate and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the galley and bakery, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with the Chief Cook to provide catering services for onboard events and the International Café, meeting high standards of quality and presentation.
• Provide assistance as required in kitchen operations, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior culinary or hospitality role.
2. Proven ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
3. Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation techniques.
4. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.

$50,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
