About the Role

As a Refractory Senior Supervisor at thyssenkrupp Uhde Engineering Services GmbH, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of coking plants and chemical plants worldwide. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing construction work projects, representing the company, and presenting our scope of services to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead construction work projects up to €500,000 in refractory work and structural steelwork, collaborating with department management and project management.
  • Represent the company and contracts internally and externally, as required.
  • Promote our scope of services to customers.
  • Conduct plant visits and inspections, assessing refractory linings and structural steelwork to plan job sites under guidance.
  • Familiarize yourself with contract terms and documentation for implementation planning.
  • Develop design variants and discuss their technical and commercial implications with superiors and project management.
  • Plan and structure construction work in cooperation with project management.
  • Provide functional guidance to staff assigned to job sites.
  • Collaborate with departments and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with and enforce health, safety, and environment protection regulations.
Requirements
  • Vocational training in metalwork, furnace bricklaying, mechanics, or comparable disciplines.
  • Additional vocational training as a master craftsman, technician, or comparable training.
  • More than 1 year of work experience as a site manager.
  • Flexibility with changing working hours and willingness to travel.
  • Business fluency in German and good command of written and spoken English for international construction sites.
  • Health suitability for working under difficult conditions and relevant G examinations.
