**Digital Publishing Platform Developer**

We are looking for a skilled Senior Front-end Engineer to join our team at itai's machine GmbH, the digital unit of the Berliner Verlag publishing group.

Our journalistic operating system (jOS) is a cloud-native publishing platform that serves millions of users by connecting to headless CMSs, processing and enriching content, and distributing it via web and apps.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our .jOS SaaS platform and work on exciting projects that help regional newspapers meet the challenges of the digital age.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end code using modern frameworks and architectures
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to focus on automation and quality
  • Coach junior team members and contribute to the improvement of our tech stack
  • Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs for frontends and other consumers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on front-end technologies
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based, distributed systems and custom codebases
  • Experience with React, Next.js technology stacks
  • Passion for understanding business goals and user experiences behind software systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
