Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives within the Product Management sector.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management and assist global product teams in aligning cybersecurity practices with current legislation and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed cybersecurity measures throughout product development, engineering, and design processes.
  • Engage in a broader Industrial Cybersecurity community to share knowledge and enhance professional growth.

Impactful Contributions

  • Formulate and execute cybersecurity policies that ensure the resilience of industrial products across their lifecycle, in accordance with PLM processes and governance frameworks.
  • Offer guidance to Product Portfolio, R&D, and Software Development teams on effective cybersecurity architectures and technologies.
  • Design advanced security concepts for operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) within ongoing development projects, adhering to standards such as ISO 27001 and IEC62443.
  • Mentor project teams throughout the product lifecycle, contributing to security assessments, architecture reviews, and penetration testing activities.
  • Identify resource gaps within the cybersecurity community and enhance the Product Management cybersecurity network.
  • Regularly evaluate cyber risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies, including improvements to governance and processes.
  • Monitor the execution of governance strategies and report on the maturity of Industrial Cybersecurity practices.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes, particularly the EU Cyber Resilience Act and NIST guidelines, ensuring product compliance.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, cybersecurity, electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least one year in a specialized role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT/OT cybersecurity architectures and technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product lifecycle management and secure development methodologies; familiarity with security standards such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and NIST is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize complex tasks in diverse and global teams.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German.
