Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Gameplay Animation Developer to join our team at Ubisoft Blue Byte in Düsseldorf, Germany.

About the Role:

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing gameplay interactions using animation technology, working closely with designers and gameplay programmers.

You will utilize your expertise in character animation, IK, procedural or physics-based animation, and good mathematics and physics skills to ensure that our game features are optimized for performance and maintainability.

Your responsibilities will include developing with our in-house engine, SnowdropTM, ensuring coding standards are followed, collecting and analyzing technical feasibility of system/feature specifications, and writing clear and well-structured code.

You will also participate in code reviews, stay up-to-date with technology advances within the field, and demonstrate an understanding of the basics of load testing and game feature testing.

The ideal candidate will have very good C/C++ programming skills, knowledge of object-oriented development including design patterns and UML, experience working with a large game codebase, and understanding of speed and memory considerations.

A salary of €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience, is offered.
