Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will be part of the engineering team at OSI Maritime Systems, responsible for developing marine navigation and bridge systems for government and naval markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in writing and maintaining company mechanical engineering standards and best practices
- Create mechanical designs and provide information to CAD team members for drawing production
- Carry out technical tasks requiring accuracy of calculations, completeness of data, and adherence to prescribed methods
- Interpret and analyze design data in preparing feasibility studies and prepare reports for assigned work, resolving technical problems within the scope of the assignment
- Provide design information and guidance to support personnel, and occasionally to suppliers, in preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication
- Execute engineering change requests (CRs) and provide supporting justification data
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of practical mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience with MS Office Suite and SharePoint
- Ability to thrive as a member of a project team
