We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research assistant to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT in Ilmenau, Germany. As a research assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the field of audio engineering, machine learning, and data privacy.

What You Will Do

As a research assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our team in various research projects. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting in the development of machine learning algorithms for acoustic condition monitoring
  • Providing sound for virtual prototypes in different acoustic environments
  • Creating space-filling sound in every seat using 3D audio technologies
  • Developing small loudspeakers with big sound using intelligent actuator-sensor systems
  • Composing catchy tunes using intelligent music production
  • Analyzing and recognizing faces for media and security applications
  • Ensuring the trustworthiness of media content and media technologies
