Job Title: Ocean Freight Specialist Import

We are seeking a highly motivated logistics professional to join our Freight Forwarding branch in Hamburg. As an Ocean Freight Specialist Import, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the initiatives of our Regional Freight Forwarding Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage file creation and all services associated with freight forwarding and logistics, ensuring seamless execution and timely invoicing.
  • Assist with account start-up, liaising with sales to ensure required documentation and information are provided.
  • Monitor and audit files weekly for compliance with estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing.
  • Provide clients with complete sailing details to ensure proper flow of information.
  • Liaise with ocean lines to procure the best possible solutions for capacity and cost.
  • Network with fellow operations colleagues to ensure proper support in case of workflow overload.
Requirements:
  • Degree in logistics or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry with a focus on Ocean Freight.
  • Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that countries get things right the first time.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of both English and German.
