We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a Lead Estimator and Facilities Inspector for U.S. Army Europe and Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Estimating and Facilities Inspection Section, performing in-house scheduling functions, and conducting facility condition inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Estimating and Facilities Inspection Section, providing guidance and oversight to team members.
- Perform in-house scheduling functions, ensuring timely completion of work orders and projects.
- Conduct facility condition inspections, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for maintenance and repair.
- Prepare detailed working estimates for maintenance, repair, and minor construction jobs, as well as short-form government contract specifications.
- Support a wide range of community activities and facilities, including military training complexes, medical facilities, schools, and more.
- Collaborate with customers, shops, and other installation or Host Nation activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Meister Diploma or Staatlich geprüfter Techniker in a trades or crafts field directly related to the position.
- 3 years of job-related experience, including advanced journeyman trades and crafts experience.
- German driver's license class B desired.
- English and German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel). Employee may perform the work at a location away from the regular worksite on a non-routine, ad-hoc basis.
