Job Title: Automotive Lighting Technology Research Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our team at HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA. As a Research Intern, you will be responsible for developing an automated calibration process for automotive headlights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an automated calibration method using MATLAB and OpenCV
  • Operate and validate headlight calibration on a test setup
  • Utilize a 4k camera and control high-resolution light modules
  • Build a functional prototype

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Linear Algebra and basic understanding of numerical optimization
  • Familiarity with Image Processing and Computer Vision (Feature Detection)
  • Proficiency in Matlab; Python skills are a plus
  • Desirable experience with Embedded Systems
  • Passionate about emerging technologies and capable of working independently
