Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in low-latency distributed systems to power our real-time web monitoring SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web monitoring platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with application developers, infrastructure experts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Developing and maintaining advanced crawling systems to ensure low-latency, high availability, and cost efficiency.
- Designing, implementing, and reviewing technical RFCs and solutions.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, standards, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our systems.
- Working across stacks in an organization without silos.
- Appreciating the challenges in the SEO space and having a passion for solving problems.
- Influencing strategic thinking across the team and advocating for best practices.
Requirements
The successful candidate must thrive in ambiguity with strong decision-making capabilities and a sense of accountability. Key qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in building scalable and secure distributed systems powering 24x7 uninterrupted operations.
- Understanding of the HTTP protocol.
- Multi-year experience with Elastic and Rabbitmq or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of modern distributed systems practices.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency with solution discovery and delivery using rapid prototyping, experimentation, and iterative development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical solutions to complex problems.
