Job Description
As a Senior Network Engineer - IT/OT at Volocopter GmbH, you will be part of our IT's Network Operation Center (NetOps) team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain a state-of-the-art global network architecture, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable and secure network infrastructure, including network protocols, firewalls, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements and aligns with company goals.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize network efficiency.
- Provide 2nd-level support for network-related issues, working closely with the IT team to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to improve our network infrastructure and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on IT/OT convergence.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
- Experience with network management tools, such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance regulations.
- Experience with network automation tools, such as Ansible or SaltStack.
