Job Description:

As an Application Engineer at DZ BANK AG, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our central application in the capital market environment. You will develop infrastructure components and work closely with the support team to ensure the application's productive operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new features and optimize existing systems and processes in application management, particularly in the area of system infrastructure.
  • Contribute to change processes in the application and bring your expertise in monitoring, job scheduling, infrastructure development, and continuous deployment.
  • Design, implement, and improve monitoring solutions to oversee the performance, stability, and availability of applications or platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to continuously improve software quality.
  • Provide expert advice on application management-related issues and ensure that internal customer requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Successful studies in computer science, business informatics, or business administration, or a comparable education/training.
  • Desirable but not mandatory: relevant professional experience in the banking sector or application management.
  • IT knowledge in operating systems, networks, and applications, as well as experience with tools for application management, such as Jira, ServiceNow, Automic, and a programming/scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, job scheduling, continuous deployment, monitoring solution development, and test automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills, combined with teamwork, learning ability, and analytical and meticulous work style.
