Role Overview
Frasers Hospitality, a global hospitality leader, is seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance functions of its German properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the smooth running of German hotel financial operations and providing support to the Area GM EU, GMs, operational managers, and financial reporting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of monthly management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet, in accordance with applicable Group and local accounting standards and requirements.
- Ensure Group and local accounting policies and procedures are complied with, and financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide commentary on monthly financial performance and variances.
- Be the main finance liaison between Area GM EU, operations at properties, and London Head office.
- Lead on relationships with external and internal auditors, other consultants, and banks.
- Ensure VAT returns for all properties are processed accurately within the deadline.
- Prepare and review group consolidations.
- Lead on systems and process efficiency projects.
- Ensure adequate internal controls and ongoing compliance with Group policies and statutory requirements.
- Resolution of finance-related queries and provide support to the team.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process with supporting financial analysis, insight, and commentary.
Requirements
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar.
- Proven industry experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Proficient in German language – writing/speaking.
- Personable, positive, dynamic professional who works flexibly and collaboratively to achieve deadlines, with a 'roll-up sleeves' to get the job done attitude.
- Previous team management experience.
- Proven capability to communicate financial information to various stakeholders, especially with non-financial backgrounds.
- An eye for detail and the ability to identify errors and offer workable solutions.
- Strong systems skills with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- A disciplined approach to production and documentation of work.
