Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Frankfurt

Our dedicated team is committed to delivering client objectives with precision across diverse sectors, including Enterprise Data Centres, Advanced Technology & Life Sciences, Hyperscale Data Centres, Fire Protection, and Technical Support Services (TSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Mechanical Systems: Supervise and manage mechanical systems within your area of responsibility.
  • Oversight of Site Safety: Collaborate with project management and safety advisors to establish and manage safety documentation.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Partner with the QA Manager to develop, oversee, and finalize quality assurance documentation.
  • Project Scheduling Coordination: Work alongside project managers, consulting engineers, and clients to ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Cost Control: Manage all financial aspects related to your scope, including subcontractors, material deliveries, equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Daily Operations Management: Ensure efficient daily operations on-site.
  • Compliance with Policies: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Monitor progress and staffing levels, conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors, and manage the snagging process.
  • Reporting and Meetings: Participate in site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering assessments, planning sessions, and handover discussions.
  • Project Finalization: Oversee the completion of final project tasks, including final accounts, operation and maintenance manuals, punch lists, safety documentation, quality assurance files, and project plans.
  • Weekly Reporting: Generate weekly cost reports and progress updates, detailing orders, material deliveries, labor levels, and project status.
  • Material Delivery Coordination: Align material deliveries with project timelines and maintain a weekly photographic record of the project.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake all other tasks associated with the role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a recognized Mechanical/Electrical contractor in process mechanical or pipework.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Strong collaborative skills within a team environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering-related software applications.
  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • Ability to effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with modularization techniques.
