Payroll Accounting Specialist

In the role of Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for all employee-related calculations within DAVASO. You enjoy working with precision and independently, placing great emphasis on accuracy and being able to handle a range of specific billing requirements flexibly. You have your processes under control organizationally and administratively, and ensure efficient workflows through new ideas. As part of the HR department, you support each other in your tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Correct calculation of employee salaries (payroll accounting), including income tax, social security contributions, and other deductions
- Handling special cases such as bonus payments, one-time payments, and severance packages
- Being a competent point of contact for employees and managers regarding all payroll-related issues and other HR-related matters
- Preparation and support of company audits by the German Pension Insurance and tax audits by the tax authorities
- Supporting the Finance department by assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Correspondence with external stakeholders and preparation of reports for health insurance companies, tax offices, and other authorities, as well as work certificates
- Supporting master data maintenance, monitoring time recording, and handling the entire personnel administration from employee entry to exit
- Preparing supporting documents for collecting personnel statistics and evaluations
- You have successfully completed your commercial training and have several years of experience in payroll accounting
- You have solid knowledge of current income tax and social security law and are proficient in using DATEV and MS Office
- Good knowledge of company pension schemes is an advantage
- You possess a strong service and consulting orientation
- Very good communication skills, independent and structured work, as well as a high sense of responsibility and quality complete your profile
- Excellent German language skills differentiate you
