Job Title: Bautechniker/in

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bautechniker/in to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Bautechniker/in, you will be responsible for planning, completing, and performing complex project assignments in the area of mechanical/electrical engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, complete, and perform complex project assignments in mechanical/electrical engineering design
  • Coordinate designs with engineers and technicians of other engineering disciplines
  • Review work requests and other basic material, studies existing plans, and performs field investigations
  • Perform field surveys to obtain technical data about existing conditions
  • Adapt techniques and methods and use experienced engineering judgment
  • Recommend alteration of project if more suitable to functional requirements or more economical
  • Calculate heating, cooling, and electrical loads, capacities, and other mechanical/electrical engineering aspects
  • Prepare detailed designs and specifications for bidding action and compute cost estimates
Requirements:
  • Meister Diploma or Staatlich gepruefter Techniker in a trades or crafts field directly related to the position
  • 2-3 years of job-related experience as defined below
  • Advanced journeyman trades and crafts experience that provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and precedents
  • Office automation skills required
  • German driver's license class B desired
  • English Language Proficiency level B2 and German Language Proficiency level C1 required
