Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Research Associate to join our team at Helmut-Schmidt-Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and publication activities in the field of psychological methods and statistics, as well as providing academic service activities such as methodological and statistical consulting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and publication activities in the field of psychological methods and statistics
  • Provide academic service activities such as methodological and statistical consulting
  • Assist in teaching to the extent of basically 2,0 trimester hours per week
  • Possibility of further academic qualification (e.g. doctorate or habilitation)
  • Carrying out general administrative work as well as academic activities in academic self-administration
Requirements
  • A completed university degree [Diplom (univ.) or Master] in psychology, statistics or a related discipline completed with very good results
  • Knowledge of foreign language in German with a proficiency level that corresponds at least to the language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
  • Scientific and academic achievements appropriate to the candidate's career level
  • Excellent knowledge of psychological methods, statistics and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of statistical software, especially R
  • Proactivity, reliability, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
  • Independent and structured way of working, creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong mathematical and statistical-analytical skills
