Transformative Supply Chain Solutions Engineer

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the need for transparency and sustainability in consumer products is becoming increasingly pressing. Addressing the global climate challenge and ensuring a secure future for both humanity and the planet requires a profound transformation in food systems.
This is where OpenSC comes in – a pioneering initiative co-founded by WWF and The Boston Consulting Group. Our mission is to revolutionize the way we buy and produce products by providing critical data on transparency and traceability for supply chains.
We achieve this through our cutting-edge OpenSC platform, which leverages AI, Blockchain, and Remote Sensing technologies to enable automated ingestion, analysis, and sharing of a supply chain's data.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with our implementation team to bridge the gap between real-world supply chains and the OpenSC platform.
- Serve as the technical lead within our onboarding teams, ensuring designed and deployed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and yield reliable insights.
- Work closely with customers to architect the optimal way the OpenSC platform collects, receives, and interacts with data.
- Analyze existing systems and data flows within supply chains, identifying the most effective data collection methods using field observations, third-party IT interactions, and OpenSC data requirements.
- Develop comprehensive data capture solutions for validating sustainability, ethical production, and product tracing.
- Create descriptive models of supply chains in cooperation with development, data engineering, and data science teams.
- Identify reusable implementation patterns that can be developed as reusable platform components and drive their implementation as part of product development.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese for effective business communication.
- Relevant industry experience in technology solution architecture, design, and integration.
- Detailed knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and data ingestion concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with data orchestration and data pipeline concepts and tooling.
- Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with databases and SQL.
- Experience working with cloud service providers, ideally AWS, and supporting data integrations with 3rd parties.
- Proven ability to work in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to confidently engage in commercial conversations with customers and tech partners.
- Passion for working on sustainability topics and ethical production within supply chains.
Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
