Energy Utilities Engineer

At Boston Consulting Group, we're committed to driving innovation and transformation in the energy sector. As an Energy Utilities Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of energy supply solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance our energy platforms, technical capabilities, and service offerings to create new value propositions for our customers.
  • Support our customers and teams in the energy utility industry with your expertise in market trends, technology implications, solution evaluation, and benchmarking.
  • Design and implement customer-specific sales, service, and network solutions, including CRM, billing, pricing, forecasting, planning, and logistics solutions, as well as digital data platforms.
  • Contribute to our knowledge management by actively participating in the development of new IT knowledge in the areas of energy supply.
  • Create training materials and presentations for our consultants and provide our own sales, service, and network platforms.
  • Develop best practices for delivery teams in the energy supply industry.
Requirements:
  • You have a degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a related field.
  • You have at least two years of relevant experience in the implementation of energy supply solutions at an industrial company, software manufacturer, or consulting firm.
  • You have experience with DevOps, release, environment, and test management, as well as theoretical and practical experience in the development and configuration of industry-standard energy supply software (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Powercloud, SIV, Wilken).
  • You have gained initial experience with sales, service, or grid system landscapes, including core systems, interfaces, and current trends in development in data landscapes.
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and enjoy making a difference. You enjoy working with a team towards a common goal and know how to use your communication skills in a targeted manner.
  • You communicate confidently in written and spoken English, and knowledge of German is an advantage.
