Electrical and Information Technology Dual Study Program

Theoretical FoundationThe 3-year study program at the DHBW Stuttgart provides you with a solid theoretical foundation in electrical and information technology. You will cover topics such as electronics and measurement technology, computer science, microcomputer and digital technology, and system theory.
Through study projects, assignments, and practical exercises, you will ensure that the theoretical phase remains practical and relevant. For more information on the program's structure, please visit the DHBW website.
Practical ExperienceEvery 12 weeks, you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. The first two practical phases take place at our partner company Siemens in Stuttgart, where you will gain hands-on experience in laboratory work, programming, project management, and more.
From the third practical phase onwards, you will join Infineon Technologies AG in Neubiberg. You will have the freedom to choose the department you would like to work in, with a wide range of options available, from development teams to technical marketing. Some examples of project work include:
- Simulating and implementing a magnetic application in reality
- Developing software for data analysis of automotive electronics
- Characterizing materials and testing contact stability
In addition to the practical experience, you will also receive a competitive salary from the start of your studies, ranging from €1,025 to €1,275 in the third year. You will also have access to various workshops and training programs, including health management, presentation techniques, and Microsoft Office training. The successful takeover of the program is planned according to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Working ConditionsYou will work 35 hours per week with flexible working hours.

To be successful in this program, you should bring:
- General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
- Enthusiasm for technical connections and the world of microelectronics
- Interest in electrical engineering/natural sciences
- Independent and structured working style
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent German language skills
- If you have completed your studies abroad, you will need to provide a recognition certificate and proof of qualifications
