Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant & Controller to join our team at Duffle. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all operational accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinate activities of external auditors.
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Manage the budget process.
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems and the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
- Consult and advise on invoicing between Duffle, Merchant, Airport, and Payment Service Provider across multiple locations.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
- Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.
- Completed training as an accountant, controller, or comparable financial training.
- Well-rounded professional experience in Finance departments handling the tasks described above.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including German GAAP (HGB).
- Good user knowledge of Datev.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with structure and in a proactive way.
- Fluent English language skills.
