About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile App Developer to join our team at Checktur GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our mobile apps that leverage AI and intelligent software solutions.

Your primary focus will be on building native mobile apps for Android and iOS, as well as web applications, using React Native. You will work closely with our CTO, CPO, AI, and frontend engineers to define, design, and develop our SaaS platform.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for guiding and advising junior colleagues on software quality, best practices, and design patterns. You will participate in our ideation and innovation process to identify the next breakthrough developments and promote our engineering culture by constantly updating your knowledge and adapting new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain native mobile apps for Android and iOS, as well as web applications using React Native.
  • Work closely with our CTO, CPO, AI, and frontend engineers to define, design, and develop our SaaS platform.
  • Guide and advise junior colleagues on software quality, best practices, and design patterns.
  • Participate in our ideation and innovation process to identify the next breakthrough developments.
  • Promote our engineering culture by constantly updating your knowledge and adapting new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience with frontend development for Web, iOS, or Android.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a React Native programmer.
  • Implemented a React Native app that was published in a Play Store or Apple Store.
  • Excellent JavaScript developer with knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with deploying machine-learning models.
  • Understanding of design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS, and building apps with Docker containers.
  • Practiced agile development methodologies.
