Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled student research assistant to join our team in the "Aviation Electronics" group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB. As a research assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the field of power electronics and semiconductor technology.

Responsibilities
  • Create and optimize PCB layouts and schematics using Altium Designer
  • Assist in the assembly and testing of hardware prototypes
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for hardware designs
  • Work closely with engineers to integrate hardware designs with software and firmware
  • Write software and firmware to test developed PCBs
  • Select suitable parts and components and integrate them into the Altium component library
Requirements
  • Enrolled student of electrical engineering, mechatronics or another related degree program and have already completed your undergraduate studies.
  • Strong interest in power electronics and related technologies
  • Prior knowledge of PCB design software
  • The ability to familiarize yourself with new tools and technologies
  • You are motivated and enjoy working in a team.

The position is initially limited to one year. Your weekly working hours will be agreed by arrangement.
