About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer to join our team at designface GmbH. As a CAM Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machines.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Program components in HyperMill CAM and on the machine (Siemens 840D, Mazatrol SmoothX)
  • Independently control components with modern measuring equipment (dimensions and tolerances)
  • Assist in the continuous process optimization of workflows, optimize the life and use of cutting tools
  • Work cross-functionally with related departments, including Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, equipment & tooling, and machining efficiency
  • Assist the Manufacturing Lab team in the development of tooling and new equipment commissioning and implementation
Your Profile
  • Educational background in Cutting machine operation, CNC programming, or CNC technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC job setup
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with 3-axis or 5-axis machining centers
  • Experience in conversational programming (Siemens 840D and/or Mazatrol SmoothX)
  • Experience with a CAM system (ideally HyperMill)
  • Ability to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions setup sheets
  • Experience with operating and maintaining a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Very good technical English language skills required; German language is a plus
