Advanced Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Systems Engineer to join our team in Germany.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Human System Interface department, focusing on service requests and orders. As an Advanced Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing service contracts, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with colleagues to execute service contracts and maintain systems and installations in critical infrastructure.
• Administering Windows servers and clients, networks, backups, group policies, and providing technical support for national and international customers.
• Traveling approximately 50% of the time, with 70% of that travel occurring within Germany.
• Coordinating and defining work processes, execution, and other aspects with customers on-site.
• Preparing reports and protocols, updating related documents like system overviews, functional diagrams, wiring, and circuit diagrams.
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service throughout all project phases.
• Working independently with a strong sense of responsibility towards colleagues and the business, aligning with ABB's values for safety and integrity.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Completed vocational training or a technician degree in information/electrical engineering or a comparable field.
• Ideal experience of 2-3 years in engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with network technology/IT security/virtualization (VMWare)/Active Directory/WSUS/Acronis.
• A good understanding of ABB 800xA and ABB Melody would be beneficial.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• A focus on occupational safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to stay informed about new technologies.
• Collaborative and solution-oriented working style, along with strong communication skills.
