About the Role

The Data Insights & Advance Analytics team within Global IT is the central Data & Analytics partner of the global Ottobock business. We are a team of data enthusiasts who see ourselves as enablers, providing the entire portfolio of infrastructure, data engineering, and analytics to make the business even more successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP BW/4Hana solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our hybrid data stack.
  • Design and implement efficient data models in SAP BW/4Hana to support reporting and analytics needs, leveraging your expertise in data modeling concepts and best practices.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes, utilizing your hands-on experience with SAP BW/4Hana implementation, including designing and configuring InfoObjects, InfoProviders, CalculationViews, and data extraction processes.
  • Configure and optimize SAP BW/4Hana for performance and scalability, staying current with SAP BW/4Hana best practices and new features to continuously improve our solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of SAP BW/4Hana solutions, ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SAP BW/4Hana solutions, including technical specifications, data models, and system configurations, utilizing your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stay current with SAP BW/4Hana best practices and new features to continuously improve our solutions, and work closely with Azure and Databricks architects to align SAP BW/4Hana solutions with overall cloud architecture principles and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BW/4Hana solutions, utilizing your strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an SAP BW/4Hana Architect or similar role, with at least 4 years of experience in designing and implementing SAP BW solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SAP BW/4Hana architecture, data modeling concepts, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4Hana implementation, including designing and configuring InfoObjects, InfoProviders, CalculationViews, and data extraction processes.
  • Experience with SAP HANA database technology is highly desirable, as well as SAP BW certification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks is a plus.
  • Languages: Good knowledge of German and/or English.
