Role Summary
The Validation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the manufactured Power Management IC meets functional specifications in a lab environment. This involves understanding the IC's functional specification, devising validation techniques, and creating a validation test plan. The engineer will design and set up test benches, including hardware board design, and code test cases in software. The developed test suite will be executed, data gathered and analyzed, and validation reports created within agreed time scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to achieving strategic business goals by developing automation for the validation test suite for Digital Power products.
- Design and implement lab automation techniques, hardware, and software reuse methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-site teams to achieve common goals.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Requirements
- University degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of post-silicon bench validation experience.
- Good knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of voltage regulators (Buck, Buck-Boost, LDO), key parameters, and measurement methods.
- Lab automation, board-level analog and digital circuit design expertise, and proficiency in Python programming.
- Ability to debug issues and identify root causes.
- Ability to work with minimal instructions and deliver results under tight schedules.
