Product Engineer Job Description

Renesas Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to drive the development of state-of-the-art Sensor products. As a key member of our Analog and Connectivity Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading the product development process from conception to production release.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure datasheet specifications are met.
  • Own the qualification plan and execution to comply with JEDEC/AEC quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products to volume production.
  • Define ATE test, qualification, and manufacturing plans.
  • Release products into manufacturing with adherence to stringent tier 1 customer requirements.
  • Provide real-time customer support for design, product, and quality-related issues.
  • Characterize and set production limits for temperature, voltage, and process.
  • Manage product new product introduction and yield ownership.
  • Release and maintain product BOMs.
  • Manage excursions for suppliers and customers.
  • Use commercially available yield tools for yield improvement and monitoring.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in product engineering.
  • Strong analog circuit background required.
  • Familiarity with ATE tester platforms and JEDEC/AEC qualification standards.
  • Knowledge of analog and mix-signal circuitry, device physics, test methodology, and DFT.
  • Experience with common lab test equipment and bench characterization.
  • Ability to apply statistical analysis to isolate issues and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage supplier excursions and customer escalations.
Education:
  • BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
