Strategic Projects Team Lead

Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Digital Engineering gGmbH is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to head the new Strategic Projects Team. As the first member of this team, you will spearhead high-level initiatives and build a cross-functional team that turns strategic goals into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Team Leadership: Hire and develop a team of strategic project managers and analysts to execute HPI's strategic vision
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement long-term, data-driven strategies that align with HPI's overall goals in close collaboration with the management board, the Hasso Plattner Foundation, and further stakeholders
  • Strategic Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact, long-term projects across the institute, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with institutional objectives
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across departments and functions to ensure that strategic projects are integrated seamlessly and that there is alignment between different teams
  • Trend and Competitor Analysis: Monitor emerging trends and competitive activities, using these insights to shape strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth
  • Reporting and KPI Tracking: Regularly report progress on key initiatives to the Management Board, ensuring strategic goals are met and tracked effectively
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address any roadblocks in the execution of strategic projects, offering innovative solutions to ensure the success of initiatives
