About Our Client

We are working with a renowned German family office that has established a private equity firm with a EUR 500 million fund. With a history of entrepreneurial pursuits and extensive experience in deal execution, they aim to invest in robust, expanding mid-market firms in the agricultural technology, nutrition, and healthcare sectors. Their strategy involves a pan-European consolidation approach, collaborating with management teams to grow businesses to the next tier.

This emerging client offers significant opportunities for team expansion and deal activities backed by a guaranteed yearly cash flow. Its entrepreneurial framework facilitates swift and adaptable procedures, encourages low-hierarchical team decision-making, and allows for flexibility in deal quantity and individual ticket sizes.

In the expansion of their team in Hamburg, our partner is currently seeking a dynamic Investment Manager. With substantial responsibilities from the outset, you will play a direct role across all phases of the investment cycle in this position, actively engaging in comprehensive due diligence processes leading up to deal closure. This opportunity provides ambitious candidates with the chance to shape their career within a profoundly entrepreneurial, value-oriented team structure.

What the Job Involves
  • You will take the lead in the execution of new deals as well as in the management of new portfolio companies
  • Identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities for the firm, significant responsibility for all aspects of the deal life cycle from origination to closing
  • Financial and market analysis and execution of all relevant due diligence workstreams
  • Acting as an ambassador for the firm and collaborating with management teams once investments are completed


Who We Are Looking For
  • Top-level academic background
  • Buy-side experience with previous experience in strategy consulting or strong transactional background in strategy consultancy
  • Experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to connect with management teams
  • Strong financial analysis skills and excellent commercial judgement
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious approach, consistent with the rest of the team
  • Native German and fluent English skills are required
