We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Berlin. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models for delivery time prediction, food prep time prediction, vendor consistency, and other related tasks.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and performance of machine learning models across the vertical. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing large-scale datasets to understand and identify opportunities deploying sophisticated statistical techniques to improve decision-making in Time Predictions.

You will also lead research initiatives to explore emerging trends and technologies in machine learning, contributing to the advancement of Delivery Hero's digital products and algorithms. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert in data science and machine learning, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the data science team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in building and training advanced machine learning models with strong knowledge of Python, Pandas, SQL, Sklearn, and PySpark.
  • Excellent understanding of feature engineering, model selection and design, evaluation, and optimization to deliver value to the business.
  • Able to explore large datasets using SQL queries and gather data to support analysis and machine learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with deploying and developing in cloud systems, ideally with experience in GCP and BigQuery.
  • Experience in mentoring and collaborating with other team members to enhance their skills and expertise.
