SAP ABAP Integration Specialist

Our team at Brenntag is seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Integration Specialist to drive the development and operation of our global integration platform based on SAP Business Technology Platform.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in and drive the development, rollout, and operation of Brenntag's global integration platform based on SAP Business Technology Platform.
  • Work closely with our business units, delivery units, and external partners to provide tailored integration solutions for our global clients in a timely manner.
  • Consult and support internal and external partners on data and service integration challenges.
  • Design and develop specific integration solutions (e.g., data extraction, ingestion, and provisioning services) and plan, drive, and support implementation and rollout projects.
  • Perspective: Support our SAP BTP ABAP development (cloud environment).

Your Profile

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Information Systems preferred.
  • At least five years of experience as a professional SAP developer and consultant, preferable with a focus on process integration.
  • Strong process knowledge in at least one SAP ERP module plus willingness to extend this knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of interface designs, integration patterns as well as API technologies and solutions (e.g., OO development model, OO inheritance/redefinition, SAP oData, ABAP OO, DDIC).
  • Strong OO implementation skills in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong architecture competence.
  • Experience in managing technical complex environments (SAP and non-SAP is a plus).
  • Service orientation, good communication, and intercultural awareness.
  • Experience in working in an international project environment.
