About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transformation Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Leadership Team, you will be responsible for transforming our Finance operating model, deriving best practices, and harmonizing them across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance Function Operating Model: Develop and implement a global finance function operating model across all jurisdictions, encompassing people, processes, technology, data, and underlying controls.
  • Process Deep-Dive Workshops: Collaborate with the CFO and Finance Leadership Team to design the target state for the finance function, and conduct process deep-dive workshops with country finance teams to baseline the current state, identify pain points, and document areas for improvement.
  • Global Process Taxonomy: Define a global process taxonomy and underlying end-to-end finance processes that will serve as the blueprint for the global finance transformation program.
  • Finance IT Landscape: Work with Finance Leadership to define business requirements that will inform changes to the finance IT landscape, and play a central role in orchestrating UAT, cut-over, and hypercare of new systems implementation.
  • Project Management: Oversee, direct, and program manage the rollout of all finance transformation projects and initiatives from the Group centre and across the globe, collaborating with Finance Leadership in Berlin and Country CFOs, and instructing external service providers as needed.
  • Training and Upskilling: Train and upskill finance colleagues in new ways of working, regularly presenting and iterating process and systems documentation.
  • Troubleshooting: Work with the CFO to troubleshoot finance operating model issues that arise.
Requirements
  • Empathetic Personality: Possess an empathetic personality with strong communication skills.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a successfully completed degree in economics or economic-technical with a focus on finance or accounting, or comparable long-term experience in finance & accounting.
  • Professional Experience: Possess professional experience, preferably in management consulting, accounting, finance target operating model design, process reengineering, and project management.
  • Analytical and Conceptual Thinking: Demonstrate strong analytical, structured, and conceptual thinking.
  • Communication and Intercultural Competence: Possess analytical and independent working style with clear goals and a high level of commitment, and communicate effectively with intercultural competence.
  • Language Skills: Be fluent in spoken and written German and English communication.
