Job Overview

As a Plastic and Rubber Technologist Apprentice at TE Connectivity, you will play a crucial role in planning the production of plastic and rubber parts based on order data or specific customer requirements. This involves selecting suitable processing methods such as injection molding, blow molding, foaming, and thermoforming, as well as choosing raw materials, additives, and auxiliary materials. You will determine processing parameters like temperature, time, and pressure, set up production machines accordingly, and monitor the entire production process. In addition, you will perform non-machining or machining operations on plastic and rubber parts, temper and condition them, and treat surfaces as needed. You will also package, transport, and store plastic and rubber parts in a professional manner.

  • Select suitable processing methods and materials
  • Determine processing parameters and set up production machines
  • Monitor and control the production process
  • Perform non-machining or machining operations on plastic and rubber parts
  • Temper and condition plastic and rubber parts
  • Treat surfaces of plastic and rubber parts
  • Package, transport, and store plastic and rubber parts

Requirements

  • Hauptschul-, Realschul- or Abiturabschluss
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of plastic and rubber processing

Our Internship Program

Timeline

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin.
