With its headquarters in Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd., the company specializes in research and development, design, and sales of its own branded home furnishings products. Our product portfolio includes a wide range of furniture, home decor, and garden products, as well as pet accessories.
We are a global internet-based home furnishings brand with three own brands: SONGMICS, VASAGLE, and FEANDREA. We have successfully developed into one of the most popular home furnishings brands on Amazon in Europe and the Americas. In 2017, we won the "Amazon Almighty Seller" award, and in 2019, we were recognized as "Amazon's Most Popular Brand Seller of the Year". Additionally, our brands SONGMICS and VASAGLE were selected as "Top 100 Chinese Export Cross-border Brands with Amazon Global Stores" in the same year.
Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a talented Industrial Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing product strategies with our team
- Conducting trend research on CMF, technologies, functionalities, and user needs
- Participating in team brainstorming sessions
- Generating concepts and developing 3D models
- Refining selected concepts until a pre-engineering stage
- Creating renderings and building concept presentations for our headquarters in China
- Attending trade fairs and events within and outside Europe
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (3Dmax, Solidworks, or Rhino)
- Experience with rendering software (Vray or Keyshot)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Hand sketching and/or other quick visualization methods
- Workshop/prototyping/3D printing capabilities
- 1-3 years of industrial design experience (furniture and/or houseware is a plus)
- Proven examples of products launched in the market (a plus)
- Teamwork, self-organization, and ability to work independently
- Education/degree in Furniture/Industrial Design or equivalent field
- Settled in Cologne or willing to relocate, with eligibility to work in the EU/Germany
- Fluent spoken and written English (German and/or Chinese is a plus, other languages are welcome)
