As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting our DACH business segment, providing expert legal guidance and advice to drive commercial success.

About the Role

The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for leading and developing a cross-regional team, providing corporate legal affairs support to Dun & Bradstreet Europe's DACH business segment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the CE General Manager and senior business stakeholders, to support strategic business initiatives and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a corporate and commercial legal affairs team supporting D&B's DACH region.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to support strategic business initiatives and priorities.
  • Act as a business partner to regional commercial leaders, providing advice and counsel on significant legal issues affecting the local business.
  • Keep the business abreast of relevant legal requirements and new developments.
  • Collaborate with Global Compliance and Ethics colleagues on regulatory requirements, including privacy and compliance matters.
  • Support commercial risk management for the DACH and CE region.
  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, development, and performance management for the corporate legal affairs team.
  • Oversee, manage, and support the regional corporate legal affairs team's day-to-day work.
  • Collaborate with other regional legal leaders to support the implementation of new standard contracts and collateral documentation.
  • Assist with the management of personnel, pre-litigation, and litigation matters in local markets.
About You

We are seeking a qualified solicitor or JD with 12 years PQE, ideally with law firm and in-house experience. You should have a proven track record of leadership, preferably of a distributed team, and experience managing through organizational change. Strong analytical, oral, and written communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Fluency in German and English is required, with working legal familiarity with other official languages of the DACH region an advantage.
