Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 68,000 - 80,000 EUR per year, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience, in accordance with the TVöD-Bund pay group 13.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a sophisticated data framework for cloud-based services, focusing on renewable energy systems like hydrogen and battery storage. They will apply FAIR data principles to enhance data management and accessibility across the project, establishing a robust infrastructure for data sharing and utilization. The researcher will work collaboratively with project partners to integrate digital artifacts into a comprehensive validation framework, ensuring best practices in data validation and tool maturity are met. They will design and deploy enterprise-grade software components for monitoring and optimizing renewable energy technologies, leveraging expertise in engineering, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, they will develop and synergize metadata and ontologies, crafting a first-generation recommendation model for a metadata marketplace, enhancing data interoperability across platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field with a focus on renewable energy systems, data analytics, or artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience in programming, particularly in Python, Django, or similar frameworks, with a robust understanding of data extraction and machine learning models.
- Advanced programming skills and substantial experience in software development related to digital services.
- Exceptional collaborative and communication skills, fluent in English, and capable of effective teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Additional knowledge or interest in cloud computing solutions (private/on-premise/public) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies will be considered an asset.
