Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expansion Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Expansion Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand our business in the Rhein-Ruhr region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans to identify and acquire new locations for EDEKA markets, from initial concept to project completion.
• Conduct market and site analyses to inform business decisions and create comprehensive development plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including property owners, developers, and local authorities, to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Manage and coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle, from site acquisition to project completion.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate industry, including property owners, agents, and developers.
• Optimize existing locations, including lease negotiations and redevelopment opportunities.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in a field such as architecture, geography, urban planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development and expansion, with a strong understanding of the retail industry.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations, with the ability to navigate complex permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong market knowledge and a well-established network in the real estate industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
