We are looking for a Finance Manager - Mergers and Acquisitions to strengthen our Corporate Controlling team.

Job Description

The METRO Group portfolio is permanently adjusted via M&A transactions, with a strong focus on the expansion of the FSD business and digitization projects. As a Finance Manager - Mergers and Acquisitions, you will be responsible for managing the financial workstream on M&A projects, coordinating with various departments, and building a broad network within the Group. Your expertise and knowledge in finance will play a crucial role in supporting METRO's international transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial workstream on M&A projects
  • Coordinate with M&A, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Controlling, and Treasury departments
  • Build a broad network within the Group
  • Assess strategic projects in terms of their benefits for METRO's performance indicators
  • Forecast the effects of transactions on METRO's key financial indicators
  • Draft and negotiate relevant sections in SPAs

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience in a transaction-related environment
  • Familiarity with M&A processes and financial matters
  • Graduated in Finance with an above-average degree
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to comprehend key figures and their interrelations
  • Leadership qualities and ability to manage stakeholders and partners
  • Fluent in business English; proficiency in other languages is considered advantageous
