Robotics Field Service Engineer

Zimmer Biomet is a global leader in medical technology, and we're seeking a skilled Robotics Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical services team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our capital equipment in the North East region of Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct technical support and troubleshooting to our customers through various communication channels.
- Perform on-call emergency repairs for our robotic systems on site in the assigned territory.
- Investigate product complaints to identify root cause analysis following established processes.
- Complete administrative duties accurately and timely, including field service order documentation, field activity reports, and return material authorizations reports in accordance with Zimmer Biomet processes.
- Manage quarterly scheduled preventive maintenance and upgrades for the regional install base.
- Support new installation of our robotic systems through EMEA.
- Develop strong relationships with hospital staff, including surgeons, robotics coordinators, and biomedical department personnel.
- Understand and operate within standard and site-specific Operating Room protocol.
- Partner with sales representatives to help prioritize calls, coordinate work, manage escalations, and close the loop with all parties impacted by an adverse service event.
- Manage costs (e.g. travel and expense, overtime, freight charges, etc.) to deliver a high level of service at reasonable cost to the company.
- Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Biosciences, or relevant experience with medical devices.
- Minimum 2 years supporting capital equipment in the research or clinical fields.
- Prior experience with Robotics or capital medical equipment preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer relation skills.
- Ability to work without specific direction on daily activities.
- Project management skills would be helpful.
