Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our sales team as a Festival Coordinator. In this role, you will assist our team in conducting research on festivals, submitting our films to festivals, and negotiating screenings fees.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on festivals and submit our films to relevant events
- Be involved in the festival strategy and negotiate screenings fees
- Schedule and prepare festival meetings during markets and festivals
- Provide materials to festivals and occasionally to distributors
- Assist with talent coordination and event organization
Requirements
- Native or fully fluent English speaker with excellent command of two other languages (French, Italian, German, or Japanese would be an advantage)
- Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
- Creative and able to think outside the box
- Experienced in the cultural industries (a plus)
- Interested in the technical aspects of films
- Attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Organized and capable of prioritizing and multitasking
- Precise and proficient with Excel and databases
- Capable of interacting with professionals in different sectors
- Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces
- Flexible and proactive
