We're seeking a talented Scientist in Model-Based Purification Development to join our team in Karlsruhe, Germany. As a key member of our Biotechnology segment, you'll collaborate with the GoSilico team in Karlsruhe and the Bioprocess R&D team in Uppsala, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct applied research in bioprocess development, focusing on downstream purification processes.
  • Develop and showcase new applications for model-based purification development for international customers in biopharma research, development, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on development projects and conduct independent research.
  • Support the GoSilico Customer Success team in scientific discussions.
  • Publish results in scientific articles and present at conferences in the field of biomanufacturing.
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in biotechnology, bioprocess/biomedical engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or related sciences.
  • In-depth knowledge of downstream process development, chromatography, resins, and protein analytics.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical models and physical/chemical fundamentals.
  • Excellent presentation, scientific writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in mechanistic modeling of chromatography or related separation technologies.
  • Programming skills in C++, Python, Matlab, or similar.
