Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to lead our Data Science team in creating innovative solutions that drive meaningful impact. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building personalization algorithms, collaborating with our Learning team to deploy generative models, and designing features that communicate student learning to teachers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of data-driven solutions that improve educational outcomes for our students.
  • Collaborate with our Learning team to design and deploy generative models that generate culturally relevant and effective content.
  • Design features that effectively communicate student learning to teachers, enabling them to make data-driven decisions.
  • Co-ideate and co-design new ways to leverage Data Science in accelerating learning outcomes in lower-income environments.
  • Track the impact of your work through randomized control trials and A/B testing.
Requirements
  • PhD in Data Science, Education, or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience leading junior team members and generating insights from large datasets.
  • Experience building algorithmic recommender systems and proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong interest in the use of Data Science in education and experience with large language models (LLMs) and Graph Neural Networks is a plus.
