Data Engineer - Manufacturing Solutions

JSP International GmbH, a global leader in thermoplastic foams, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our Industry 4.0 manufacturing solutions team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and storage solutions tailored to the unique needs of our manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and storage solutions to support Industry 4.0 manufacturing environments.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from diverse sources, including IoT sensors, machinery, and production systems.
  • Develop algorithms and processes for cleaning, aggregating, and enriching manufacturing data.
  • Optimize data workflows and processing pipelines to handle large volumes of real-time data efficiently and reliably.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making in manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing measures to identify and address anomalies or discrepancies in manufacturing data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, continuously evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data engineering methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in building data pipelines and storage solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures to support manufacturing data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack, including.NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing data engineering workflows, version control, and supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of T-SQL for database testing, querying, and data manipulation tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify data quality issues and optimize data processing workflows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
