We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our Molecular Genetics department at Medicover GmbH in Martinsried. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing molecular genetic reports for data generated from next-generation sequencing, including single-gene, panel, and whole-exome sequencing analyses.

The ideal candidate will have a profound knowledge in genetics, molecular genetics, and human biology, with experience in human genetic diagnostics being desirable. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a team as well as show commitment and flexibility.

In this role, you will analyze sequencing data using our recently updated pipeline, interpreting each case within the context of the full clinical picture. You will also provide support for our regional sales team in offering molecular diagnostic testing to local partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scientific evaluation of molecular genetic test results from routine diagnostics (NGS data, Sanger sequencing, MLPA, etc.)
  • Evaluation of results in a clinical context and preparation of molecular genetic reports
  • Scientific and organizational support of diagnostics (e.g., continuous updating of the portfolio and information materials)
  • Cross-functional communication with key stakeholders, including medical and scientific staff, marketing, sales, and operations
  • Establishment, validation, and incorporation of new examination methods/techniques into routine diagnostics

The estimated salary for this position is around 60,000 - 80,000 euros per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include 30 vacation days, flexible work models, and extensive training opportunities.
