Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal guidance to Uniper's business units on a wide range of legal issues, focusing on projects across the Uniper Group, including renewable energy, hydrogen, and traditional generation initiatives.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements for joint ventures, partnerships, and contractual collaborations related to these projects.
  • Prepare and negotiate legal documentation for projects, including EPC contracts and project development, ensuring thorough due diligence.
  • Act as the primary legal advisor for complex national and international energy projects, overseeing interdisciplinary project responsibilities.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments within the Uniper Group.
  • Select and manage external law firms, focusing on quality and cost-effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A law degree with strong academic credentials (equivalent to the 2nd German state exam).
  • Several years of relevant experience in an international law firm or corporate environment, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities while advising the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment; experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured work style, and a pragmatic approach to prioritization.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Excellent understanding of business relationships and strong communication skills.
  • Confident demeanor, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a high level of commitment.
  • Proficiency in business English; additional language skills (Italian, French, Polish, Hungarian) are a plus.
