Job Summary:

Mackinnon Bruce International is seeking a seasoned Financial Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our portfolio of renewable energy investments.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our investment efforts in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, investment banking, or private equity, with a proven track record of success in managing complex financial portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and manage portfolio risk.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and presentations to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support due diligence processes to identify and mitigate key risks associated with investments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth investment execution and portfolio management.
  • Engage with external partners to structure and finance investments.
  • Monitor and value portfolio investments to ensure optimal returns.
  • Conduct market research to assess and benchmark investment opportunities and track industry trends.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or private equity.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and valuation.
  • Interest in energy transition or infrastructure is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and German.
