About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our team at SAP. As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and testing complex software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complete and complex end-to-end software applications
- Contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from planning to delivery
- Work in an agile development environment, requiring self-motivation, independent decision-making, and flexibility
- Identify and resolve technical issues within the current architecture, leading the delivery of necessary changes
- Ensure high-quality code through code reviews and automated testing tools
- Mentor junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills
- Collaborate with other teams, agreeing on interfaces for integration and gaining knowledge of other technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience (open to less for the right candidate)
- Excellent programming skills in an object-oriented language, such as ABAP Objects, C++, Java, and another scripting language
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and software engineering
- Effective communication style, with the ability to acquire deep understanding in new areas and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in Business English and German
