Job Summary
The HR Generalist Director is a key role within Marriott International, responsible for partnering with Senior Leadership Team and department leaders to drive business strategy through human resources practices. As a generalist, the individual will lead the in-house HR team, executing and managing all HR areas, including employer branding, planning, recruiting, contracting, onboarding, HR administration and operations, compensation & benefits, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, HR technology, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR Generalist support to the organization, providing direct consultation on HR-related issues, talent development, staffing, compensation, and organizational design.
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team and senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that optimize organizational effectiveness, leveraging partnership with MI HQ for systems, processes, and programs, and aligning them with the culture and translate them into HR-related initiatives.
- Develop and deliver HR programs and services, including talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, and coaching.
- Lead the implementation of key HR processes throughout the year, ensuring business partners understand implications of their recommendations and decisions.
- Work with senior leaders to facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives that drive employee engagement and reinforce company culture.
- Manage performance across teams, ensuring optimal decisions are made that protect and strengthen the Design Hotels culture and brand.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of HR generalist experience, with recent experience as a Human Resources Generalist/HR Partner with Senior Level Executives.
- Strong working knowledge of Human Resources, as well as relevant legal standards.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to think as a business leader and address business opportunities with actionable, scalable, and sustainable HR programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in German and English.
- Excellent knowledge of German labor law and practices.
- A solid work ethic, honest, and straightforward, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
